I have been photographing since 1965 when I began my studies in architecture at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating in 1970 I moved to Chicago to begin my architectural career followed by a second move to San Francisco in 1972 where I practiced until retirement in 2021. Throughout these years I also pursued my photographic work and have assembled the images on this site as an initial example of my digital work that began in 2003.

The site’s six categories are intended to organize and display images as well as serving as an aid in the culling process and should therefore be viewed as a work in progress. To this end I encourage the viewer to email me at rgyori46@gmail.com with questions, comments or suggestions.

Finally I would like to acknowledge the late Nicholas Hlobeczy my CWRU photography professor for whose patience, guidance and inspiration I remain deeply grateful: http://www.gurdjieff-hawaii.org/?page_id=289
